Connecting learning and work

Culinary Careers Program, known as C•CAP, describes work with public high schools that brings together culinary education, job training, scholarships, apprenticeships, and industry relationships. Its legal name is Careers through Culinary Arts Program.

The organization’s model includes mentoring, internships, and job-placement connections. Together, those elements address the transition from learning a skill to finding a place to use it.

The relationships around an opportunity

For someone beginning a career, an opening is only part of the picture. Understanding expectations and meeting people who can explain a route can make the opportunity easier to navigate. C•CAP’s account offers an example of how those connections can sit around classroom learning. Confirm current programs and participation requirements with the organization.
